Workshops and Speakers

Call for proposals

You have done great things to inspire others in IT at IU. Don’t keep it bottled up. Share what you’ve learned with the greater IU IT community so we can all get better.

ITLC has opened a Call for Proposals for our Workshops & Speaker Series for the 2025-26 Academic Year. ITLC plans to host a one-hour Teams/Zoom session each month from September to March.

What topics are we looking for?

Any topic on leadership, general soft skills, teamwork, navigating difficulties at work, etc. This is not a venue for highly technical talks.

Do I need to be an IU IT Leader to speak?

It does not matter what your title is. Great leadership comes from every level, and we can learn from anyone. If there is a relevant topic that would benefit our community to hear about, we want it!

Should I propose a Workshop or Speaker Event?

A Workshop is more interactive and usually includes a breakout session to get small group engagement from the audience. A speaker event is more like a lecture or panel but can have a Q&A portion after the main presentation. You do not need to decide on the format to submit. Our action team can work with you on deciding the proper format if your proposal is selected.
